The CK-12 Foundation (www.ck12.org) was founded with the mission to enable everyone to learn in their own way; to this end, they created the Flexbook: a customizable, online learning platform for assembling, authoring, and distributing interactive, multi-modal content. In this session, I will introduce you to the CK-12 platform and its library of STEM content, interactives and assessments. Participants will learn how to find appropriate content for their curriculum, integrate resources within existing Learning Management Systems such as Google Classroom, and use adaptive assessments that automatically differentiate problems to match each student's skill level while promoting concept mastery. Participants will leave with access to my BC curriculum-aligned Flexbooks, and they will gain experience creating custom resources of their own that can be regularly updated to suit the changing needs of their students.
