This highly interactive workshop will focus on narrative development using the research based methodology and tool, the Story Grammar Marker, which has been used in classrooms for over 20 years to help children think, communicate and learn. The Story Grammar Marker program includes tactile, kinesthetic tools and methodology that complement existing classroom programs to teach children to tell personal narratives, retell stories, write stories, comprehend oral language, think critically and develop social emotional competence. This approach is appropriate for all children in general education, as well as those with language learning difficulties and social communication challenges.
Please purchase materials through www.mindwingconcepts.com and bring them to the workshop. ** You can use your COTA pro-d funds to pay for teacher materials. Also use the code: cert16 for a 30% discount on your materials. Contact me at Miranda.odonnell@sd23.bc.ca if you have any questions.
